The Desi Doll Company gives to orphans of the conflict in Palestine, who have been placed in refugee camps and orphanages in Lebanon.
The Desi Doll Company are keen to collaborate with charitable organisations to help children in need around the world.
Our first effort came after founder Farzana and her husband Jules were inspired by a heart-wrenching speech given by Muslim Aid Fundraising Manager Isa Abdul Jolil at a charity event. Following that night they decided to work with the charity and managed to arrange for 200+ of their Muslim talking dolls to be airlifted to Lebanon, for Eid Ul-Fitr 2009, where they were distributed amongst children in orphanages and refugee camps like those in Al Meye and Ein El Hilwa.
The pictures below show the results .. the smiles on the children are priceless and encourages us to work harder so that we can do much more of this fulfilling charitable work.
